What qualities should a 'great performance space' have?

A great space is one that performers love to give a show at, and that patrons will gladly come back and back again.

What first sparked your love of theatre or performing arts?

Watching my school theatre club’s performance of “The Emperor’s New Clothes” at the tender age of 9. Eventually, music won me over, but theatre has since been a soft spot – including musicals!

You’re an electronic music producer, are there any artists you’re really enjoying at the moment?

Quite possibly an acquired taste, but the Autechre’s NTS Sessions 1-4 are absolutely brilliant and as forward-thinking as electronic music can be.

If you were to establish your own venue, what would you call it?

Herzog.

…and what would that venue specialize in? Dance, live music, theatre…?

Cutting-edge electronic and experimental music.
