PROJECT ARCHITECT: Andrzej Blonski Architects

…building a community’s vision

Project summary

The Peepul Centre is a 60,000 square foot flagship community led regeneration project in Leicester designed by signature London architects Andrzej Blonski Architects.

The concept was developed by Belgrave Baheno Women's Organisation, a Leicester City based community organisation with a membership of over 5000 women and girls.

The centre incorporates a 350-seat auditorium with tilting raked seating which can be lifted to create a large multi-purpose space beneath. This unique feature, the first of its kind in the UK, enables the area underneath the seating to be fully utilised as flat floor space for weddings and other social or business events.
